Going For Gold.

P1000364When I used to wake up feeling like this as a teenager I would skip college and walk the short distance to my great grandmother’s flat where I would eat Jamaican water crackers, drink sugar water and watch daytime repeats of ‘Going For Gold’ on BBC One. There is nothing great like granny anymore; there is nothing sweet about sugar water anymore, instead it’s tinged with a sadness that continues to linger and unlike Henry Kelly, today I am leaving the race because I just do not feel like going for gold.

The sun will come out tomorrow.
